Smoothie with berries

For a healthy breakfast to go, made with clean, wholesome ingredients, try this berry smoothie.  I’m a berry lover, so the fact that they are good for you is an added bonus. Freeze it in the summer for an awesome frozen berry pop your kids will love! Low in calories, rich in vitamin C and loaded with cancer preventing flavonoids and phytochemicals. Drink up!

Ingredients:

2 portions
1 cup of red fruits 1 cup blackberries 1 banana 2 tablespoons honey 250 g of natural yogurt 1 cup ice 1 cup of coconut milk (or other fruit juice)

Instructions:

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately, or store in the refrigerator until ready to consume. And since I get bored eating the same thing over and over, I can easily change up the combination of fruit in the smoothie. Maybe peach-blueberry next time. Or blackberry-cherry. Mango-pineapple. And using frozen fruit means I can enjoy my favorite flavors all year round.
