Good Morning readers! This spooktacular DIY is not only easy and fun but it also has a professional looking finish. Stick them out on the porch for the trick or treaters or take them inside for a little ghoulish glow.
Usually after the jar is empty we used to throw it out without thinking that same jar can be used for something else. This is a common mistake that most of the people tend to do. The best thing about up-cycle jars is that you will both contribute in saving the environment and you will have a new decorative item for the home without spending a cent, so it’s a win-win combination. These super creative Halloween Mason Jar Luminaries can be a perfect element in your backyard for your super creative spooky Halloween. They’re pretty quick to make and the supplies are all really cheap!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Tea lights
  • Black glass spray paint (I used Krylon black Aerosol Paint)
  • White MATT Self Adhesive / Sticky
  • Back Label Printing Paper Sheet
  • Twine
  • Mason jars of different sizes and
  • shapes
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

INSTRUCTIONS:

Start by washing the mason jars. Make sure they are completely dry before moving on to the next step.

Draw your designs onto Self Adhesive paper and cut them out. If you need some inspiration, try these silhouettes. Print them out and trace them onto your Self Adhesive paper! 🙂
Next, place the stickers on each mason jar and using spray paint of your choosing, spray mason jars in a well ventilated area (outdoors is best). Spray 12-14cm. from jar to avoid dripping. Allow to dry.

Carefully peel off the silhouettes from the jar (you will need to make sure you do not scratch off any of the paint).

Next, take your spool of twine and hot glue one end to your jar. Wrap the twine around the rim of your jar.

Then once everything is dry Place tea lights or candle inside. That is it! Now enjoy your super cute Halloween inspired mason jar luminaries!
