DIY Light Bulb Planter

Light bulbs can be recycled in many forms and uses. I have always wanted to try these light bulb planters ever since I saw one. Great! I had the light bulbs. Now what? I searched a few websites on how to hollow out light bulbs. I found them quite confusing as they didn’t have step by step instructions with pictures, so i decided to try and create my video.
I hope this step by step video is detailed and easy enough to follow along. If you haven’t tried it, it is time to give it a try.

YOU WILL NEED:

A light bulb
Pliers
Safety gears
Tweezers
Sharp edge

INSTRUCTIONS:

The glass shatters into tiny pieces and can land anywhere. Protect your eyes with protective eye wear. At any time while working, try not to place pressure or squeeze the glass part of the bulb because it might end up breaking before you are even done. If you need to hold it tightly while working, hold the metal neck instead.

And that is it! I really love how they turned out. I have one more hollowed out light bulb which I think will end up being used as a Sand Timer. Have any of you tried this? Share pictures of the finished product below.
