Halloween Pumpkin Candle Holder

Oct 12, 2016

Halloween is just around the corner, and I don’t know about you, but so many people are obsessed with pumpkin everything during the fall months!  Have you had any ideas to add some creepy atmosphere in your room for the upcoming spooky festival? Take a look at my handmade pumpkin candle holder!
Imade it from an Air Dry Clay and painted with acrylic paint and covered with varnish.
When i place a candle in the pumpkin candle holder  and light it up at night, the pumpkin add a spooky tint in my room. Its so cool and creepy!

You will need:

Air Dry Clay

Sculpting Tools

Acrylic paint and brushes

1 peach

Film

Rotary Tool (Includes array of sanding, cutting and polishing attachments)

Instructions:

First of all, cover a peach with film, then cover it with a large flat piece of clay. Only leave the hole under, to remove a peach later.
Yes, that is correct. I said a peach, because its round like a ball, and its soft enough to remove when we are finished.
When the peach is covered, start to modulate the pumpkin, cut out the eyes, mouth and nose parts. Next, use water to smooth or add some detail.
This is a very simple and fun process! After you have completed this process, leave it to dry for about 4 to 5 hours.
Remove very carefully the peach, piece by piece using a table spoon, remove everything including film. Leave it to dry completely for about 24 hours.
Next, lets prepare our scary and creepy pumpkin candle holder for painting.
Smooth the edges if you think they are not perfect.  Done? Ok, great.  Finally the funny part has arrived! Lets paint our pumpkin!
I chose black and orange colors. I think its the best color combination for Halloween decorations. After painting, cover it with one layer of varnish.
Check out my video to see the complete process:

Now you just have to wait for the night time to enjoy your creepy room atmosphere. (To scare the creepers out of everyone)!
Happy Halloween!
