DIY Eggshell Planters Craft

DIY Eggshell Planters Craft is a fun project for the whole family. Perfect for spring, easter and earth day projects. We all use eggs on a regular basis and shells usually get thrown away without even giving this any thought. That’s really a shame because egg shells can be used in o many cute and beautiful way you’d be surprised on how amazing these apparently fragile things are.

You only need these few things….

10 eggs 1 old egg carton Succulents or Flowers (choose flowers with shorter stems such as crocus or pansies). Soil
Gently crack the top 1/3 of the egg and peel away slowly. Pour the yolk and egg white into a small bowl (for either scrambling or baking later, yum!). Once your shell is emptied, rinse it under warm water and use dish soap to gently clean the egg inside and out. After rinsing your egg, prop it up in your egg holder or egg carton to dry. Repeat on the rest of the eggs.
Plant small flowers in each egg shell and display them all in the egg carton you’ve chosen. These cute flower arrangements would look lovely in the kitchen but also elsewhere in the house.
You can make one egg and place it on an single egg holder as a plate setting or make a dozen like I did and place in an egg carton for a centerpiece.
Remove succulent from the plastic pot. If your plant comes with three separate succulents, use your hands to separate them and carefully remove excess soil. Use the smallest succulents to be able to add them to each egg. I added about two flowers to each egg depending on the size. These plants store water in their leaves which means they don’t need a lot of h2o. I am quite in love with their soft texture, their luminescent colors and the varieties that exists.
If you want, you can grow grass inside egg shell planters. These little things will make a room look fresh and beautiful regardless of the season. You can put egg in some little egg cups or in an egg carton. Watch out if you have a cat because they like chewing grass sometimes.
Doesn’t that look gorgeous? And sooo lovely, especially if any fresh wildflowers have sprouted up where you live (hello, super bloom!). Please let me know if you try this! I would love to see what you create!
